Treatment...

In the 1 - 2 weeks prior to your colon hydrotherapy session:

  • Get plenty of rest and treat yourself gently.
  • Drink 6 - 8 glasses of filtered, distilled or bottled water.
  • Exercise regularly.
  • Reduce your stress. Become aware of the things in your life that create anxiety and explore ways to minimize them. Such as quiet baths, meditation, time for just you.
  • Start eating a cleansing diet of raw or lightly steamed vegetables, whole grains, broth soups (miso, vegetable), light proteins. Fruits are best eaten alone or 30 minutes before a meal.
  • It is best to eat first thing in the morning to flush toxins from the liver and gallbladder. Eat small frequent meals. Meals earlier in the day can be more complex and larger. Keep the evening meal light and do not eat 3 - 4 hours before bedtime to allow the liver time to recover. The best food combinations are proteins and vegetables or starches and vegetables, rather than all three together. Sweets and fruits should always be eaten alone or 30 minutes before a meal.

In the 24 hours before your colon hydrotherapy session:

  • "Juice Fast" with seasonal organic fruits and vegetables or eat lightly, mostly vegetables, fruits and grains.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Avoid eating 2 - 3 hours before the treatment.

The session:

The Doloto Toxygen Model B-SC-UV Colon Hydrotherapy Instrument features a patented three-stage water filtration system. Particle filters will filter particles as small as 5 microns, a built-in carbon filtration will remove chlorine and other organic toxins and the built-in ultraviolet lamp will destroy bacteria. This instrument is FDA registered.
During the session, the client will lie on a massage table. The dignity and modesty of the client will be emphasized at all times. The client will gently insert a speculum into their rectum. Two disposable tubes are attached to the speculum, one for the water to trickle into the colon and the other one for the waste to flow out. As the water is flowing out through an illuminated glass viewing tube, the colon hydrotherapist may gently massage the abdominal area. This filling and releasing process is repeated several times during the 50 - 60 minute treatment. The goals of the colon hydrotherapy session are to remove stagnant fecal matter, bacteria, toxins, gas, mucous, parasites and cellular debris, to hydrate the system, to stimulate peristalsis, and to tone and rehabilitate the nerves and muscles of the large intestines.

After the session:

  • Schedule time off to eat, rest, relax, reflect and integrate the experience.
  • Start pro-biotics or acidophilus and continue for 2 - 3 weeks or longer if there has been recent anti-biotic usage.
  • Call your colon hydrotherapist if you have ANY questions.
  • At the close of your session, the movements of the colon muscles and the resulting releases may leave you feeling empty and relaxed. It is not unusual to wait 2 - 3 days for the first bowel movement.
  • Continue the cleansing diet and continue your healthy lifestyle.
